Ricky Quintana is an actor and educator currently based in Cleveland, OH. He is a recent graduate of the MFA in Theatre Performance program at Arizona State University, where he was the recipient of a Teaching Excellence Award. As a student, he has studied with Michael Rohd, Liz Lerman, Kari Margolis (Level 1 Certification), Tectonic Theatre Project, Franctic Assembly, Anne Bogart/SITI Company, Cornerstone Theatre Co, and Knight-Thomspon Speechwork. As a director and devisor, his original works include You're On Mute, When the Sky Fell, and Unapologetically Me! (co-created with nationally acclaimed spoken word artist Lady Caress). Regionally, he has worked with Arizona Theatre Company. Hailing from Chicago, his local credits include work with Raven Theatre, Cuckoo's Theatre Project, and Red Theater Chicago.  As an educator, he has taught workshops with Arizona Theatre Company, served as a faculty member for Baldwin Wallace University, Eastern New Mexico University, The National High School Institute (Cherubs) at Northwestern University, and has presented at the Mid-Amercia Theatre Conference. He was a member of the Obama Foundation's 2018 Community Leadership Corps, a recipient of a 2019 Professional Development Grant from Arizona Commission on the Arts, and is published on Howlround. He holds his BFA from Long Island University.
